ĠEMMA Play Competition

The purpose of this play is to educate teens on the importance of financial capability– why one should budget, managing money, distinguish between needs and wants, earn income and save for a rainy day and plan for one’s future amongst others.

Furthermore, the play highlights the importance of decision-making which often impacts our future both regarding the financial aspect as well as career progression. Every decision taken carries a situation that poses some questions to viewers thus there is an interaction between the play and viewers.

Competition

Interested students are then invited to provide a write-up of approximately 400 words about what they learnt from the play. There are no penalties in case the write-up exceeds 400 words. The write-up should include:

• how to manage money wisely
• how to distinguish between needs and wants
• the importance of saving for a rainy day
• what career you are aiming for and its importance vis-à-vis money management

Submission of competition is till 10^th December, 2021 and participants are asked to upload the write-up in the form below.

Prizes – 1^st   €60 book voucher, 2^nd  €40 book voucher

The prizes are sponsored from the HSBC Malta Foundation.

Winners and schools’ details will be uploaded on the ĠEMMA website and a launch will be organised whereby photos of the winners following guardian’s consent will be uploaded onto the ĠEMMA portal.
