Applicable to those non-pensioners who would have reached state pension age but who do not have enough Social Security Contributions to qualify for a Contributory Pension.
Deficiency Contribution Bonus DCB was a budget 2015 measure which came into effect as from 1st January 2015.
With effect from January 2020, bonus will not come to a halt at 74 years of age, but will continue to be issued to those beyond 74 years of age. For years 2015 up to 2019, bonus was issued to those who were aged between 62 and 74. Keep in view that persons who stopped receiving this bonus at age 74 and those who were not eligible when introduced in 2015 because they were over 74, will start receiving the deficiency contribution bonus again.
Those who have paid between one year of Social Security Contributions (50) and less than 5 years of Social Security Contributions (259) receive the below bonus :

Those who have paid more than 5 years of Social Security Contributions (260) but not enough to qualify for the contributory pension, receive the below bonus

Payment of the Deficiency Contribution Grant DCB will be made automatically.
