On Monday 17th October, ĠEMMA in collaboration with the Malta Bankers’ Association (MBA), delivered the first session in a series of four to the 60+ audience. These sessions focus on ‘Digitalisation within the Banking Sector’.
The main topic of this session was about online banking, and the presentation was delivered by Mr. Scott Lee Holloway from APS Bank assisted by Mr. Karol Gabarretta, from the MBA. The session was held at the Paola Local Council with the kind hospitality of its Mayor Mr. Dominic Grima.
An informative introduction was delivered by Ms. Iris Camilleri Mifsud from the ĠEMMA group. She provided an overview of what ĠEMMA stands for as well as the sterling work that this initiative which falls under the remit of the Office of the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry for Social Policy and Children’s Rights, has been doing since its inception in 2018.
Monday’s interactive session was well attended, and interesting questions were put forward by the attendees who from the overall feedback, were very pleased with the information provided.

- 31st October – visit to the BOV Centre in Santa Venera (transportation is provided near the premises of Paola Local Council)
- 7th November – presentation delivered by ĠEMMA on Social Services Benefits for the 60+
