As debit and credit cards are used by most people this is an area of focused attack by scammers. There are, however, some very basic tips you should follow so that you limit a fraudster’s possibility to scam you. For example, a bank will never ask you for your debit or credit card number – they normally ask for the last four figures only. So if you get a call from some one who says that s/he represents your bank and asks you for the full card number than you will immediately identify this as a scam.
