What is identity theft?
This is the fraudulent practice of using another person’s personal information, assuming his/ her identity in order to obtain a material advantage to commit fraud or other criminal acts.
What can you do to protect yourself?
Limit the amount of personal information you provide, especially on social media. The more information you post, the easier it may be for a criminal to use that information to steal your identity, access your data or commit other crimes in your name.
