ĠEMMA on 27th May 2021 held a seminar on its research on the level of understanding that persons who are born on and after 1962 have on the how the system works in their regard. The general picture is that most people have only a vague idea of how the pension system works and how it directly affects them.
The Webinar discussed the findings of this survey. The survey was presented by Ramon Muscat, the director responsible for research at EMCS. The panel was constituted of David Spiteri Gingell, ĠEMMA Team Leader; Fiona Captur, the CEO of JAYE, Edward Buttiġieġ, the Director for Social Security pensions; and Stephanie Fabri (Dr), economicst at the University of Malta.
